Dear friends of Brighton Natural Health Centre,

2021 will be our 40th birthday. As a charity set up to promote health in the community, we have been continuously operating in Brighton & Hove for four decades. Throughout that time, any profits we have made have been invested back into the centre and our community programmes.

Each year, we welcome thousands of people to our classes. We are immensely proud of the quality of our teachers and staff and the warm and friendly atmosphere we provide. We know that for many of you, our classes, community projects and talks have been truly life-enhancing. And we want to thank you for your support over the years and for being part of our community.

“You have always been a wonderful resource for all types of yoga, pilates, dance etc. It is great that you have found a way of continuing during lock down.”

“The grounding, the focus, the doing something positive for my mind and body. At times they have been beacons of sanity and stability in these strange times.”

The impact of Covid-19
However, Covid-19 has hit us hard. We had to close down in March and were forced to pause our community projects. But we quickly responded by setting up ‘pay what you can afford’ classes via zoom to help the community through the physical and mental impacts of lockdown.

As a result of the big changes imposed by Covid-19, our income has been dramatically reduced and our reserves seriously depleted. At the moment the sums just don’t add up.

Despite all our efforts to adapt, we are at risk of not seeing our 40th birthday. So we are asking for your help.
