Almost 2 years ago, I began working on project called YOUR RESOURCES, a short film about disability, the future, and the desire to be different. Last summer, I went out to my parents' property in Wyoming, and short the film with a bare-bones crew. The star of the film is my sister Julia, and she did an incredible job. Now, I'm entering the final phase -- music, sound mixing, color correction, graphics -- putting the final post-production touches on the completed short film. I learned so much from this process, and there's so much I'll do better next time, but I'm proud of the work we did.
As often happens, we didn't budget enough money for festival submissions. To that end, I'm hoping to raise a bit more so that we can submit the film to as many festivals as possible. I want get this work out there, and would be so grateful for anything you could contribute. Every festival submission costs an average of $40. Since I want to submit to widely, and since we've scraped the bottom of our budget barrel, these costs are intimidating. But we can't give up now! Anything you could contribute would be a tremendous help.
