Young immigrant needs money for tuition

My name is Judy Grande, and I am raising money for a scholarship for a young Honduran man named David.  David came to the Shriners Burn Institute in 2014 to be treated for severe burns he suffered in his home country. After almost 50 operations at Shriners, David has "aged out" of treatment there. 

Because he is at high risk for serious injury or death if he returns to his country, David is seeking asylum in the U.S.   He is currently living in suburban Boston and waiting for his work permit so he can get a job.  There is no telling when he will get the permit, given the current political climate, and without a permit he cannot work here legally.  

David has a high school diploma and wants to go to college to become a registered nurse. He has been accepted at Quincy College to start in the Spring semester of 2021.  The costs are $481 for Technology Fee, $729 each for English and Psychology courses, $744 for a Math course, and $1076 for a Biology courses.  His registration fee is $120, for a total of $3879, excluding books.  David has received one scholarship for $750 and a gift of $500, but doesn’t have the resources for the rest of the tuition.

Here is a young man (21), who wants to work and pay his own tuition but, for reasons beyond his control, cannot earn money for school and living expenses  He is already taking courses on-line to help him in school.  David is very intelligent, speaks and reads English fluently, and is determined to reach his goal of being an RN so he can help patients with severe burns like his. 

It would be fantastic if people who read this could help pay  for his first semester of college that is starting on January 2021 and get him on the road to reaching his goal.  Once he receives his work permit he will be able to start saving money for future semesters.
