Young Choi Memorial Fund

Dear family and friends, 

On December 9th, 2020 we lost a very special person to stage 4 lung cancer. Young, 63, is survived by her husband Peter and son Samuel. 

Young was a beloved mother, wife and a joy to the world, always pressing on to share the Gospel every where she went in both her personal and professional life. Her business card as a real estate agent even included the quote "Happiness and Success Deliverer." She was a diligent and hard working person with a huge heart for people, starting off her day at 4 in the morning to pray for family, church members and her loved ones and proceeded with her day. She was a prayer warrior. She valued other people's time so much that she always arrived 15 minutes prior to meetings, praying for the person she was meeting. 

Young always put others before her and truly exemplified the meaning of what it means to love God and your neighbors. As a pastor's wife in ministry for over 30 years, mother and the primary family source of income, Young exerted herself above and beyond to provide everything she can to support her family and those around her. She was the glue to the greater Choi family in the States always making sure family traditions took place and helped with all extended family's paperwork as she was the most fluent English speaker in the family and as as all her relatives remained in Korea. 

Up until her passing, Young never wanted to be a burden and would ask how everyone else was doing, checking on her friends and family out of her concerns beyond her own well being. 

Young was a scholar, excelling in her academics and receiving full ride scholarships for school. Her favorite food was sushi, she loved to read books where she one day wanted to write her own and was an avid art collector. 

This gofundme has been created to help cover funeral expenses and arrangements. All additional funds raised will go towards the day to day needs of her husband who's work has been deeply impacted due to COVID-19. Peter Choi will be the designated person in charge of final expenses. 

We know that Young is at a better place and finally gets to rest in peace in the presence of God, her father and maker. Her spirit is with us and her presence will forever go with us. 

Young has taught the family what it means to be present in the lives of others and to love them just as God loves us. 

Dad and I love you so much and it's because of your love for people that taught us to love and be fruitful in all our relationships.
