Young Art Oxford

Tax deductible
Young Art Oxford is an annual exhibition of  art by schoolchildren from all over Oxfordshire  which raises money for research into childhood illnesses.

It is run by volunteers and all money raised goes to the Great Ormond Street Hospital. It is a wonderful opportunity for young aspiring artists to have their work judged by well-known professionals and artists and to exhibit at the prestigious Ashmolean Museum.

The first Young Art Oxford exhibition was held in 2008. Since then, more than £150,000 has been raised for charity and the number of Oxfordshire schools participating has risen from 16 to 49.

In 2020, there were 2928 entries and 600 of these were selected by a panel of judges for the exhibition. Sadly, this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our usual competition  has had to be cancelled. We are even more reliant this year, then, on donations from the public via this site.  Details on how to make donations directly to us are available on our website: youngartoxford.com.

Young Art is a fantastic opportunity for children to be recognised and feel good about their artistic abilities. Both teachers and parents regularly comment on the tremendous boost to a child’s confidence that is gained as a result of being selected and seeing his or her art on the wall of a professional gallery. Please do contact us if you would like your school to get involved.
