You Grow Girl! Van Project

Donation protected
[UPDATE 04/28/13] Our first GoFundMe campaign was launched in Winter of 2012 to secure funds to purchase furniture, supplies and equipment for You Grow Girl! Teen Center. As of March 2013, all funds received were used to secure ALL items on our wish list but also funded our first program, GIRLAFESTO, a free empowerment spring break day camp (April 15-19, 2013), which served 15 girls in grades 4-8 in our new center located in North Seattle.

At this time we're seeking funds to purchase a 15 passenger van. All excess funds will go towards providing free programming, scholarships and snacks to members.

Girlz Group Project Self-Sufficiency is a non-profit organization providing advocacy based counseling, mentoring, and pro-social activities to pre-teen and teen girls throughout King County and its surrounding areas. Our goal has been to provide a forum for girls to tackle the fears, insecurities, and pressures often associated with being young women, to develop the life and relationship skills they will need as they enter womanhood, to find support in each other, and to navigate available resources in the community.

Our mission is to help girls discover their authentic self mentally, spiritually, and physically through the development of skills, knowledge, confidence, strength, courage, self-respect and empowerment that will not only help them to navigate common issues faced by young girls, but to navigate their passage into womanhood as well.

Support our mission and see how your help becomes the water needed for growth. Learn more about our program, services and ways you can get involved at www.yougrowgirl.org.

As a financial supporter, you will have your name posted in the center and all printed materials that include supporter acknowledgment. You will also be invited to our Grand Opening and all future events. Furthermore, your donation, either onetime or ongoing, provides young girls with a safe environment to develop healthy habits, vital leadership skills and strong self-confidence that they will be able to use as they transition into women.

Thank you in advance for your support. Feel free to share our project with your friends, family and colleagues.

"Support helps her build self-confidence so that she can reach success."
