Boston’s GoFundMe is now closed to donations. We will leave the page active to share updates about Boston.
We want to extend gratitude to everyone who has donated, sent us items, babysat, and prayed for us. Boston is on the downward slope of treatment, and while we still face a long road ahead we have decided to close donations.
Thank you to those who have personally donated money, materials, and time to make it a possibility for our family to not have to worry about finances during the intense times of her treatment. We were so fortunate to be included in two major fundraisers and Blakelee was able to return to work and begin to make life as normal as possible for Boston and her sisters. We cannot thank you enough for your support. We hope to give back in every way we can post-treatment and forever on.

Boston is a vivacious 4-year-old girl living in Salt Lake City, UT with her loving Mother, Blakelee, her two sisters, Briar and Presley and her step-father Peter. Just days before her diagnosis, Boston started Pre-K 4 and was seemingly healthy and a very happy little girl.
On Friday, August 17 the lives of Boston and her family took an unexpected turn. The morning was unlike any other, but by 1:00 am Boston was diagnosed with Leukemia.
By Saturday morning there was a treatment plan in place and as of this post on Sunday, August 19, 2018, Boston is receiving blood transfusions and platelets. Monday she will have a lumbar puncture, bone marrow sample, her first round of chemo and a port installed.
The good news is the doctor says Boston is the healthiest patient coming to the cancer ward and he is confident that this was caught early.
As you may imagine, the family is caught in a web of emotions. Treatment plans are being decided as well as caring for Boston's two sisters, Briar (2) and Presley (2 months). How they will survive financially is the last thing on their minds at this moment. Let's step in and help before that becomes yet another burden - and it will, quickly.
Mother Blakelee will not be returning to work for some time and her family members from all over the country are taking turns traveling to Utah to help care for the family.

Who am I? On August 18 I awoke to texts from my best friend Candice that her precious grandbaby, Boston had been diagnosed with Leukemia. I still can't believe it.
Candice and I have been friends for more than 20 years. Our children have been raised together as close as siblings. Blakelee, Boston’s mother is like my own. I was with Candice beside Blakelee when Boston was born.
I see a long road ahead of the family. Expenses that were never expected - I mean, rainy day fund, sure, but who has a MY CHILD HAS CANCER fund? so, this is what I can do to help. I will be raising funds from TN in hopes that Blakelee and her family can fight the good fight without the worry of finances.
