<div>On Saturday July 6th, we plan to hike the 24 miles, and climb the 5,800 feet of ascent, that are involved in completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. We are doing this to raise funds for the West Wing project at All Saints Church Ilkley. This is the final stage of a c.£2m refurbishment that began in 2019.

<div>The refurbishment that we have already done to our Church building, kitchen and toilet facilities along with our new (glass fronted) Link building have enabled these spaces to be used in so many different ways, and we have been thrilled to see these spaces well used and enjoyed by the church family and our wider community.

<div>As well as our wide-ranging programme of Church activities, we have loved hosting the Ilkley Literature Festival, the Ilkley Chamber and Philharmonic Orchestras, Ilkley Town Council, local refugee support groups, local charity and community groups, choirs and other musical groups, the birthday parties and everyone else who has walked through our doors.

<div>We have been delighted to see children be able to run around and use the space that Church offers during our twice weekly toddler groups and local Ukrainian refugees learn English and enjoy each other's company at our weekly Ukrainian support morning. We have also been able to offer Ilkley Foodbank a permanent home in one of our office spaces and welcome the significant numbers of visitors who come into Church to experience the extensive history and heritage of our buildings as part of their visit to our town.

<div>However, there is so much more we could do with a refurbished West Wing, and this is where you come in!

<div>The West Wing project involves creating a contemporary and flexible set of meeting rooms, with improved heating, lighting and disability access. We hope that these new facilities will be well used and enjoyed by our wider community as well as by church groups. <div>The total cost of the work is £488,000. Thanks to the generosity of our congregation and various grant making bodies, we have (to date) raised almost 50% of our target!
