Yorkshire 3 Peaks in Memory of Jax-James

As most of you already know we sadly lost our little boy Jax-James Dale Dickinson back in May this year.

After the worst pregnancy ever we had no choice but to bring Jax into the world early and he was born prematurely at 29 weeks weighing a tiny 1lb 2oz. He amazed everyone been such the little fighter he was but his tiny body just couldn’t cope and he gained his angel wings at 4 days old.

We spent the most amazing 4 days with him whilst he was in NICU and thanks to the staff there we got to make lots of memories with him. They made the long days and nights that little bit easier and we can’t thank them enough for that. When Jax passed we were allowed to spend the night at the hospital with him in a cold cot and thanks to 4Louis charity the hospital provided us with a memory box filled with different things which was so comforting. That night was the worst night of our lives but we are so grateful of being able to spend the time and do the things we did with him.

We then spent a few more days at Forget Me Not Hospice which allowed our nearest and dearest to meet our little man. They also helped us make some keep sakes such as his prints and arranged for photos to be done so we had memories that we could cherish forever.

We can’t thank everyone who was involved enough for what they did for our little boy and honestly without the on going support from the hospice and our friends and family I don’t know how we’d get through everyday. Everyone has gone above and beyond for us as a family and we will be forever grateful for that.

No-one should ever have to bury their children and the services and charities that are out there to help are amazing at what they do and I want to help raise awareness and contribute towards them so they can continue to help other families that sadly have to go through the same as what we have.

On Saturday 2nd October me and my girls will be walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge in memory of our little man Jax-James and any sponsors would be greatly appreciated.
