Yonnatan came to the US as a child after fleeing violence in El Salvador. He was a recent high school graduate who dreamed of attending college and playing soccer. He was an intelligent and kind young man, and a beloved son, older brother, and friend. Yonnatan was the type to give the shirt off his back to someone in need and who saw good in everyone.
Yonnatan's body was found on Friday, August 4 near Fresno, CA, with severe injuries consistent with a homicide. His family is devastated by their sudden loss and by the nature of his death, especially after all they went through to seek safety in the US. They currently don't have the resources to bury Yonnatan close to home, where his mother and brothers can visit him. 100% of funds raised will go directly to his mother help to cover the cost of his burial and memorial service.
