Following the recent tragedy that struck Orlando on June 12, 2016, YOLO Mentoring & Therapeutic Services has been working closely with friends, family and the rest of the community that has been affected by this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of those who have been affected by last night's events.
YOLO Mentoring & Therapeutic Services is a youth mentoring and therapeutic organization in Orlando, Florida with a unique program featuring positive, strong role models who provide quality mentoring, tutoring, therapy and behavior analysis services.
The company was founded 2012 by Joe Adorno, MSW, with the mission to nurture at-risk youth and transform them into the successful leaders of tomorrow. Joe was personally affected by this event after finding out that several of his friends were killed and injured during the massacre.
As part of our contribution to help the community during this time of need, YOLO Mentoring & Therapeutic Services will be providing FREE grief counseling to anyone who has been affected by this senseless act of hatred - children, teenagers and adults.
We have identified a suvivor, and a friend, Christopher Morales from the deadly attack at Pulse Night Club. With your help, and the help of all the community members, YOLO Mentoring & Therapeutic Services intends to raise money to aid the Christopher Morales and assist other survivors when they are safely released from the hospital.
With the amount of physical and emotional trauma plaguing our City Beautiful right now, we do not want the additional financial traumas to affect those that have survived.
Your support and financial contribution is greatly appreciated to assist the survivors whose lives have changed forever -- 100% of the money donated is going directly to those affected by this situation to help pay for essentials, such as: rent, electric, water, food, cable, internet, car payments, insurance, and anything else that can potentially help them get back on their feet without having bills pile up.
Once Christopher is released from the hospital, YOLO will be with him as he goes home for the first time and assist with food. YOLO Mentoring and Therapeutic Services will withdraw the funds as needed to assist. Each withdraw will be documented and posted online, via Facebook.com/yolomentoring. Then after a financial assessment of any bills, we will use the money donated to pay any late bills immediately. The idea is to pay 2 months of bills and purchase any current essentials. We are not sure when he is physically ready to get back to work and start earning an income.
