Samarya Yoga Teacher Training!!

Donation protected

Peace and wisdom to you. My name is Claudia,

I am a mom, Interpreter, Artist and dedicated Yogini. I began practicing Yoga 12 years ago.  I got to Yoga as a way of balancing life's stress, as you might know, it gave a deeper body-mind connection. It inspired me in a new way. It also substantially opened a pathway for a stronger spiritual and philosophical aspect to my connection with my work as a Legal/Medical Spanish Interpreter.

With regular practice my life started to change for good. I went through my pregnancies doing the practice and benefiting in health. I found profound truth, and connected with nature; It just gave new meaning to my life's journey. I also went through a painful ending of a ten year old marriage. Life's experiences provided for a broader understanding of Yoga, and Ayurveda. I began to find a deeper peace in my personal practice and life. With the intention of sharing this revelation I took a short training/workshop in 2008, it was a dynamic immersion course for kids and families.  And it has served great purpose.

It's been years now that I have realized that I wanted to train further, learn of this beautiful practice with more people. So, I started looking for training that reflects the healing through a holistic view of integrated movement.  I have become really serious about delving deeper into teaching and sharing. Everyone I know including my best friends, and family recommended I go to Samarya Center. So, I did, and I fell into truth, love and purpose, yet again.

I am now a single mother of two great munchkins, and I have a pretty good intuition, I know that the Samarya approach of how we relate to Yoga and treat other people, our environment, our community, is the one for me.

I have applied for the diversity scholarship twice, and all in the Samarya Center have always been willing and gracious. They have offered the scholarship amount available, I would just have to cover the rest.

Unfortunately, or maybe it was just not in the cosmic time, I have yet to raise the rest of the funds needed to take this beautiful commitment to healing. Today, I am asking for any support you can give me, so I can go through this training now. I vow and know it will give back into the community. Yoga is also about taking risks in order to see change, and make progress even if there is discomfort.

It is with this new humbling, and understanding of Yoga that I have begun to strive for more in the practice, and in my life. I  am no longer shy, proud or afraid to ask for what will enrich life with deeper awareness, and what I sense can be intoxicating love for each moment.

As a Yoga teacher I want to change the perception of what Yoga is and what it can be. I want to support people and communities, as they have supported me, through their pain and discomfort so they can make progress and see changes in their lives.

Thank you for your trust and consideration.
