Yoga community help for our dear friend, Allison
Donation protected
We are raising money in order to help one of our dear friends in the Yoga community, Allison, who is very poorly.
Allison is presently in hospital after having been extremely unwell recently and it saddens me to let you know it has been discovered that she has a brain tumour. She is awaiting some scans to determine the situation and prognosis.
In any event there is likely to be a long road ahead and Allison is unable to work.
We all feel very powerless right now - Allison is a big part of our lives and in our hearts, a dear friend.
Together with our friends at fellow yoga studio where Allison teaches (Fringe in Epping) we have decided the best practical way to help right now is to offer a fundraising workshop where every single penny raised will go to Allison to help her pay bills rent etc. Allison is a single lady, a fiercely independent Goddess as we know – but this year with Covid and cancellations of much of her work have really impacted on her financially to great detriment – and this was before her recent diagnosis. I know this as her friend as I have shared the ups and many downs over the last year. I am sharing this information with you, respectfully, in the hope that together we can pull together as the yoga community to help her.
On Sunday 20th December 2pm to 4pm we will have a beautiful Winter Solstice workshop which I will teach in Allison’s honour, with rituals, sacred mantra, slow nourishing flow yoga, a Winter Solstice ‘Darkness to Light’ meditation and a gorgeous Gong Bath.
We would like to widen the opportunity to help, so if you cannot attend or would like to make a donation other than the workshop fee, then here is the place to do so.
We hope to be able to raise enough funds collectively to help Allison at least through this Christmas period.
We have been very touched by all the messages of support and we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of spirit of the yoga community. Thank you so much.
Be well, Jac
