<div>Hola, soy Alfre. El día de hoy recurro a ti en busca de ayuda. Últimamente he tenido más problemas a causa de una enfermedad que no tiene cura. El <strong>Síndrome de Still</strong> (Artritis idiopática juvenil sistémica). Mi enfermedad se caracteriza por fiebre, erupción cutánea, dolor articular, y en algunos casos, afectación de otros órganos de mi cuerpo; mi sistema inmune me reconoce como su enemigo.

<div>A lo largo de mi vida he presentado consecuencias de esta enfermedad; la más dolorosa ha sido una luxación en mi cadera derecha a causa de la artrosis generada por la artritis.

<div>A mi año y medio de edad comencé a presentar síntomas. Desde el principio hubo inconvenientes con mi diagnóstico, los síntomas no eran comunes y estaban poco estudiados en México, por ello mi diagnóstico no se concretó hasta después de cumplir los dos años.

<div>Desde que se dio a conocer el diagnóstico de Still, he tomado un sinfín de tratamientos inmunosupresores, corticoides, biológicos y complementos para tratar de mantener mi enfermedad controlada. Este conjunto de medicamentos me han expuesto a algunos hongos, virus y bacterias también. A lo largo de mis 16 años he sufrido varias crisis, las cuales me han llevado muchas veces al hospital. Cuatro de ellas siguen presentes en mis recuerdos pues mi vida se encontraba en gran riesgo, pero gracias a mi fe y al apoyo incondicional de mi familia he logrado salir de ellas.

<div>En el 2014, con mis cinco años recién cumplidos, mi papá tomo la fuerte decisión de abandonarme a mí, a mi mamá y a mí hermana. Esto afectó significativamente en mi estabilidad emocional, pasamos a formar parte de la estadística de familias rotas a causa de enfermedades crónico-degenerativas. Esta situación repercutió enormemente en mi enfermedad.

<div>En el año 2016, entré en crisis de artritis, comencé con fiebres altas e inflamación en todas las articulaciones, comenzaba también con hígado y bazo. Esto porque mi papá bloqueo el acceso a mi seguro de gastos médicos mayores. A partir de ese doloroso suceso, mi mamá abrió camino para que me atendieran en el Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. Pero ahí no realizan la cirugía que necesitaba para recuperar la movilidad de mi cadera.

<div>Hace poco, con la ayuda de toda mi familia y con el enorme apoyo por de mi difunto padrastro y gran amigo, Ale; logré encontrar una cirugía para reparar mi cadera luxada. Fue una operación riesgosa, complicada y por obvias razones costosa. Estaba extremadamente ilusionado para operarme en vacaciones y que no interfiera con mis estudios. Incluso mi papá accedió a apoyarme con el seguro de gastos médicos después de muchos años. La cirugía se llevó a cabo, pero mi papá ocultó la información correspondiente a los honorarios médicos hasta que fue demasiado tarde, argumentando que él llevaría esa negociación junto con el seguro, pero estos superaron al tabulador…

<div>Mi mamá, ha luchado demasiado por sacarme a mí y a mis dos hermanas adelante, pero le es imposible pagar aquella cantidad. Por esto, hoy recurro a ti, para que me apoyes a encontrar la salida a esta situación, sin la angustia de tener una deuda con los médicos y con tranquilidad pueda sanar de mi operación y recuperar la movilidad de mi pierna a través de las fisioterapias necesarias. Así, algún día poder caminar bien… incluso correr.

<div>My name is Alfre, and I am reaching out to you to ask for your support due to the challenges I face from an incurable disease: <strong>Still's Syndrome</strong> (Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis). This condition manifests with fever, skin rashes, joint pain, and sometimes affects other organs. My immune system attacks my own body.

<div>Throughout my life, this disease has had multiple consequences; the most painful has been a dislocation in my right hip due to osteoarthritis caused by arthritis. I started showing symptoms at 18 months old. Initially, there were difficulties with my diagnosis because the symptoms were uncommon and poorly studied in Mexico, so it wasn't confirmed until after I turned two years old.

<div>Since being diagnosed with Still's Syndrome, I have received various immunosuppressive treatments, corticosteroids, biologics, and complementary therapies to control the disease. These medications have exposed me to fungi, viruses, and bacteria. Over my 16 years, I have gone through several crises, some of which required hospitalization. Four of these crises were life-threatening.

<div>In 2014, when I was five years old, my father decided to leave our family, affecting my emotional stability and worsening my illness.

<div>In 2016, I experienced a severe arthritis crisis with high fevers and inflammation in all my joints, including liver and spleen, because my father blocked access to my major medical expenses insurance. My mother managed to get care at the Mexican Institute of Social Security, where they don't perform the surgery needed to restore mobility to my hip.

<div>Recently, with the support of my family and my late stepfather Ale, I found a surgery to repair my dislocated hip. The operation was risky, complicated, and expensive. Although my father finally agreed to help me with the major medical expenses insurance, the medical fees exceeded the coverage limits and for that I need your support.

<div>My mother has fought to support me and my siblings, but cannot cover that amount. Therefore, I turn to your generosity to resolve this situation, recover from the operation, and undergo the necessary physiotherapies to regain mobility in my leg, with the hope of being able to walk well and run someday.
