Helping a Friend

We are asking for help for our dear friends, Frank and Brenda Slaughter. Frank recently learned that his cancer has returned and he needs medical treatment as soon as possible. They would never ask for help themselves, so we are asking for them.

There is a medical facility that has had success in treating this type of cancer, but it is not covered by insurance. The estimated cost for the medical treatment is $30,000 - $40,000. They will be required to travel to the facility and stay for 3-4 weeks. This is not only an expensive medical procedure, but it will be a hard and trying treatment for Frank both physically and mentally.   

Frank is the pastor of Open Range Fellowship. As many of you know, he has been fighting an aggressive form of cancer for over three years. During this difficult time in their lives, Frank and Brenda have remained strong in their faith – growing even stronger because of it.

Frank has continued to preach while sitting in a wheel chair or on a scooter when he has been too ill to stand. He has never once mentioned giving up and during this trial he continues to preach the gospel and lead others to Christ. He puts on the full armor of God daily and pushes forward, courageously taking one day at a time.   

Frank and Brenda are loved by so many. They have touched so many lives and have lead countless people to the Lord. We pray you find it in your heart to help them with whatever amount you can.  Please join us in prayer that the treatment is successful so that Frank can begin to heal for himself and his family and that he will be able to continue the Lord’s work.
