Sepi’s Story

Those of you who know Sepi know that she has always been a very healthy person. Sepi has always worked very hard for everything that she has accomplished in her life. Further, she has always been a very determined individual and has always looked forward to a very bright future. At age 25, she completed graduate school and earned her MBA with a concentration in health services management with a 4.0 GPA. Shortly after graduating, she began working for a financial company where she was able to gain lots of experience and see her true potential. She then took a leap and decided to pursue a different career opportunity, which was one of the best decisions. She looked forward to starting a new chapter. However, little did she know her world would soon turn upside down.

March 11th, 2017, Sepi woke up feeling nauseated and unlike herself. She thought she was coming down with the flu or something but a few weeks later she learned that this was not the case. Two months later she continued to experience debilitating nausea followed by other symptoms such as severe and CONSTANT pressure all around her head, numbness and tingling on her face and hands, horrible body/muscle aches that move around her entire body, systemic inflammation, POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), dysautonomia, chest pain, excessive hair loss (she officially shaved her head), liver/gallbladder pain, shortness of breath, GERD and chronic regurgitation (in need of surgery), gastroparesis, endometriosis, pressure & discomfort in one ear, eye muscle weakness, severe and chronic neck pain and stiffness, blurred vision, short-term memory loss, 10 brain lesions that were not there on her initial brain MRI and many other symptoms. Whatever this chronic illness may be (we are not exactly certain what it is) has kept her in bed for close to a year now. She feels that she has lost everything and most importantly she has lost hope in ever regaining her health back. Sepi feels that the only reason she is alive today and continues to fight this battle is for the love of her family and friends.

Sepi has seen over 50 doctors with thousands of blood work and imaging (MRIs/CTs, upper endoscopies, MR enterography, HIDA scan, gastric emptying study and many more). However, no one was able to give the correct diagnosis. She was a mystery they said. A rheumatologist diagnosed her with Mercury poisoning and was told that she would have to have her amalgams removed and start chelation as soon as possible. During this time, Sepi had become extremely weak but did not want to give up. She quickly made an appointment with a holistic dentist (as requested by her doctor) who had experience removing amalgam fillings safely. It’s incredibly unfortunate to know that she has spent about $30,000 (in addition to insurance coverage) for doctor visits, medical imaging & procedures, removal of her amalgam fillings, phone consultations, supplements, herbs and medications but has not seen the slightest improvement in her health.

Sepi decided to work with a naturopathic doctor who also specializes in Lyme disease. As soon as she told him what was going on he quickly suspected Lyme disease and recommended that she takes a Lyme test through iGeneX, since all of the other tests were incredibly inaccurate. Her test came back positive. She was relieved to finally have a diagnosis. She could finally heal and live a normal life, she thought. But that wasn’t the case as she has been taking numerous oral and injection antibiotics along with many herbs, supplements and other medications to attack the Lyme bacteria in her body. Unfortunately, she has not improved whatsoever. Sepi's symptoms are becoming more and more severe by the day and she doesn't even know if she will ever be the person that she used to be. Further, she doesn't remember what it feels like to be "normal" or whether she's suffering from Lyme disease alone or a disease that has yet to be discovered.

Lyme Disease

Lyme disease is caused by a spirochete—a corkscrew-shaped bacterium called Borrelia burgdorferi. Lyme is called “The Great Imitator,” because its symptoms mimic many other diseases. It can affect any organ of the body, including the brain and nervous system, muscles and joints, and the heart.

If Lyme disease is not diagnosed and treated early, the spirochetes can spread and may go into hiding in different parts of the body. Weeks, months or even years later, patients may develop problems with the brain and nervous system, muscles and joints, heart and circulation, digestion, reproductive system, and skin.

Untreated or undertreated Lyme can cause some people to develop severe symptoms that are hard to resolve. This condition may be referred to as post-treatment Lyme disease or chronic Lyme disease.

Infusio Treatment

Through the recommendation of a friend, and testimonials from current Lyme patients and those with other chronic illnesses, we have found a treatment that we believe can hopefully help Sepi get better. The treatment will take place at the Infusio Center for New Medicine in Beverly Hills. Instead of being treated in an often-impersonal and stress-filled hospital environment, Sepi will be treated in a healing, spa-like environment for 2 straight weeks, receiving the Infusio 5-Step Integrative Approach to Healing. The treatment consists of Thymus Therapy to rebuild/boost her immune system, Immune Modulation to rebalance the ratio of cells in her immune system, IV’s with fresh supplies of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, Detoxification, and additional treatments specific to Sepi's needs.

Perhaps the most powerful aspect will be the Stem Cell Therapy, which will involve drawing her blood, harvesting stem cells, replicating the highest quality cells, and reintroducing them to her body 8 days later.  These cells will revitalize her immune system and become the building blocks for healthy organs. Infusio has an excellent track record of treating Lyme Disease, and many testimonials.

Your Help is Requested:

This campaign provides the opportunity to help Sepi accomplish a definite goal: Fly to Beverley Hills and receive the Infusio treatment from Dr. Phil Battiade as soon as possible. The cost of her treatment is estimated at $25K. With additional costs for airfare, accommodations, food, and after-care, our goal is to raise $35K+ to cover all expenses.

Sepi has been reluctant to accept any financial help from others, but for the very first time, she has decided to swallow her pride and ask for help. Friends and family have wanted to contribute in some way, but due to the unknowns surrounding the nature of this disease and the lack of a clear treatment programs in the United States, it has been difficult to identify a definite way to help her. No treatment is guaranteed, of course.

***UPDATE: Unfortunately no treatment has helped one bit. All the money that we had raised and used for stem cell therapy did not do anything for Sepi. Sepi is just as sick and continues to be completely bedridden and homebound and in need of help for further treatments.

Please donate what you feel in your heart to this GoFundMe campaign and help send Sepi to Infusio for treatment as soon as possible!  Comment on this page, share it on Facebook and Twitter, and email it to your friends and family. Every contribution, no matter how large or small, is meaningful and deeply appreciated. Thank you and God bless you all.
