Twenty something years ago I began a great adventure in my life.I sold my house in Los Angeles and bought 657 acres of mountain wilderness twenty five miles from anywhere east of Big Bear ca. I designed and built the home of my dreams(that's me in the photo,finishing up the second floor) .it was my work for more than ten years. It was my every asset .It was to be my future ,but now it has been destroyed by a catastrophic wildfire .At seventy years old I am looking at building a new future without it.

So, now I am asking for funds to help in going through the process of preparing and selling the property and to start rebuilding,not just a house but a life.



I am a sculptor / designer /maker and am self employed( no retirement).I have made a lot of fancy stuff for a lot of cool people and a lot of cool stuff for a lot of fancy people , now I am making some fresh stuff for any of you who feel like contributing, or just want some stuff like this.



RUSTY CANS- I collect them hiking around in the desert .I started to use them to test paint formulas on rust and try out color combos.Slowly I began to see them as Things in themselves .People are likeing them.I will swap you one (or more) for a $40 contribution each.,every one unique.The paint is non-toxic .non-plastic .organic shellac ,plus pigment.



HOBO STOGIE-this small sculpture ( 6 inches x 9 3/4 inches) is made from hand carved and painted cherry wood .steel and tin can.it was the inspiration for a series of cigar sculptures and is one of my favorites.A $900 donation will send it your way . signed



CHOPSTICKS. Another lovely reward item- paduc chopsticks! based on some I have made for myself.paduc is a beautiful African wood that does well in water ,cooking oil and heat.These are hand made individually shaped and age handsomely from a reddish brown to almost black (See photo).Really nice to use ,$35 contribution each pair.



TOASTER SCULPTURE
An oldie of mine ,kind of appropriate .Toast etched with "please "on one side and "don't " on the other.Base etched with"go to hell" just sayin'.
