Hey everyone, my name is Julian. I am a transgender man and I am trying to raise money for top surgery. My journey began my junior year of high school (four years ago). I was finally able to start Hormone Replacement Therapy one year ago! The next step in my transition is top surgery.
For the past four years I have been wearing a binder. My binder compresses my chest enough to make it flat. Although this has played a huge part in relieving my dysphoria, it is not enough anymore. Wearing a binder causes a lot of discomfort, especially in this intense Texas heat. Wearing a binder longterm can have damaging effects on my body, such as, back pain, shortness of breath, and rib fractures. Getting top surgery would relieve not only my dysphoria, but also the physical pain I feel from binding everyday.
The funds I raise will go towards the procedure I will receive at the American Institute for Plastic Surgery in December, transportation costs, and recovery necessities. I am a student at the University of North Texas so my funds are little to none since I have to pay for classes, textbooks, and other college costs. It is my dream to walk across the stage when I graduate with a flat chest.
Anything you donate will be unexplainably appreciated! If you cannot donate, please share my story with others! If you’d like to follow me on social media to keep updated with how the surgery goes, feel free to follow me @justjulianj on twitter and Instagram. Thank you so much!
