Surgery for Wrigley

Hello all, my name is Emma. I come to you all with a heavy heart in telling this. My adopted dog, Wrigley, whom followed me home from the streets of Puerto Rico, Santurce a couple months ago, has been injured in a car accident just a couple hours ago. He was hit by a truck, but is stable now. Wrigs has a broken hip, ribs and several bruises and scrapes including a large gash close to his eye. He is scheduled for surgery and I’m praying it goes well!

Wrigley is not just a pet, he is my best friend. He brings joy to me every minute of every day and I’m heartbroken to see him in so much pain that he shouldn’t endure. Being able to save him from the streets has been a blessing in itself, and all I want to do is give him the beautiful life every dog deserves. He’s truly a special young dog. I’m reaching out to this community for support through all of this. I have never experienced such a traumatic event in my life, but I thank God that he’s stable and breathing. Wrigley and I do need some help if possible in any way.

Wrigley is 10 months old so he will hopefully heal well if he can get surgery on his hip, but will have a long road of recovery.

My boy and I live in the city and we walk about 25k steps a day, and I hate more than anything to lose those ventures together. Unfortunately, the cost of Wrigley’s medical care is too much for me to manage alone. Any support helping my best friend get back to health is beyond appreciated.
