Dear YES Supporter,
It was a bright Saturday morning in May of 2012 in the city of Newark, New Jersey. Our team was preparing our first entrepreneur and economic empowerment conference for girls 12-17. In the opening ceremony there were about 150 girls and their parents eager to learn about entrepreneurship and life skills that would inspire them to dream big. They participated in empowerment workshops led by seasoned female business owners and heard from a young entrepreneur as a keynote speaker. Here's what we learned.
The parents, especially the girls, were amazed and grateful to participate in a program that taught them how to start a business, financial literacy and leadership skills.
Since then, Young Enterprising Sisters has been
committed to educating, empowering and energizing the entrepreneurial spirit of girls 8-17. Through our events, girls are learning how to compete in a global society, network with their peers and potential mentors and how to become community servants. Since 2012 we have educated over 300 girls and expect that number to increase. Your contribution will help each girl have a positive powerful experience that will last a life time. Thank you in advance for your support.
