Yehonatan Armoni Rehab Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Uri Avin and I am raising funds for the rehabilitation of my grandnephew, Major Yehonatan Armoni, who was badly wounded while fighting for the IDF in Gaza on January 2nd. I am closely coordinating this effort with his parents, Tamar and Hemi Armoni in Israel.
Yehonatan, 24 , joined the permanent army after his initial service and was consistently selected as an outstanding soldier and officer in his various training courses, including receiving the President's award for outstanding soldiers, 2020. He is highly respected and much loved by the troops under his command who consider him as much a friend as a leader.
Yehonatan's older brother, Avshalom, was tragically killed in a military training exercise five years ago.
Yehonatan was commanding his tank platoon from a forward position and was standing in the turret when an RPG landed nearby, causing him serious injuries: shrapnel wounds to head, face and upper body; loss of his right arm below the elbow; damage to some fingers of the left hand; the loss of his right eye, while the left is not functional.
Yonatan's condition has now stabilized but he faces multiple surgeries and extensive rehabilitation including prosthetics and other technological and therapeutic help.
This fund will be used exclusively to defray the costs of those rehab expenses not covered by the Army or State.
