ESLD

Lacking 1 day to get health insurance at work, lab work results came back for my beautiful daughter, Leah.  When the doctor’s office called me and said get her to the hospital now. Her test results were alarming.  So I called her, told her I was on my way to take her to the ER, she said she was tired but ok.  So off to the ER we go for a CT Scan, 13 days later with a diagnosis of End-Stage Liver Disease (ESLD) and a hospital bill of approximately $132,000 she got to leave the hospital never to work again.  One prescription needed we priced for $2400 for a 21 day supply.  We couldn’t afford it so it has gone unfilled.   Three weeks later, she’s back in the hospital needing both plasma and blood transfusions.  We’re desperately trying to get her on TennCare to help with future doctor bills, rent, prescriptions, etc.  We’re praying for a miracle.
