Year 6 Tour

Annually Norfolk Island Central School sends their year 6 students on their one and only school camp / excursion!

It is an unforgettable 10 day educational experience to Mainland Australia, this for some, is the first time away from the remote Island of Norfolk, the first time away from mum and dad, a time for growth, a time to learn.

The tour encompasses curriculum required content, visiting the capital - Canberra and enriching the learning of Australian Culture, a trip out to Uluru, seeing the sights of Sydney and experiencing public transport (for some this is the first time on a train or Ferry!).

Each tour participant is required to pay $4600 for the camp, for the parents of this tiny island it is a lot of money, but required, as for many, the children's fathers and mothers experienced this trip when they were at school - a rite of passage of cultural immersion.

The parents of Aly, Zoie, Mali, Tahlia, JD, CJ, Illy, Tyra, Stefan and Tony are fundraising to send their children on this Australian experience with their peers.

We are working hard to raise funds, go fund me is just a part of the fundraising plan.
