Year 2 of 3: Gambia Education Fund

2nd Year of a 3 year fundraising project for the Sanyang family in Gambia, West Africa. 

Our first year was a success and we only have this year and next year left until this family is completely independent!

This year Binta will complete her second and final year at the Gambia Tourism and Hospitality Institute. After graduation she will seek employment.

Lamin is entering his second year of three in order to obtain a Diploma in Architectural Technology from the Gambia Technical Training Institute. After graduation, he will also seek work.

Our goal is to have the two eldest children find work and then learn how to support their own family and become truly independent.

This year we're making it interesting! 

In order to show my dedication to this project, I would like to do something more than just ask for your donation. While I can’t exactly walk a mile in their shoes, I CAN travel a mile for you.

For every $5 dollars that is donated…I will walk, run, or bicycle a mile for you.

School is starting soon, so my goal is complete 600 miles in 60 days.

I am confident that if we work together, we will succeed.

How far will I go…for You?

(There are no administrative fees, 100% of the funds are transferred directly to the family.)

I am hoping this project will demonstrate that instead of just handing out donations forever, it is much more efficient in the long run to help educate those less fortunate than us so that they can help their own communities.
