Fighting for Life

My son, Malik Ellis Jr., was diagnosed with  Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in December of 2016.  He was waiting to go into bootcamp for the Air Force, when he was stricken with recurrent back pain.  He was taken to a hospital ER in Lafayette and within 2hrs was told that he had Cancer.   We later found out that it was a rare form of Leukemia that could take his life with out a bone marrow transplant.  Malik has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy and has had a long trying road.  Mentally, emotionally, and physically as a family we have been through alot.  Only by the grace and mercy of God we were able to make it this far.  We have had an out pour of support from family and friends.  We did a gofundme campaign that was very successful in helping our family financially survive such a heavy burden in the beginning.  At the request of many, we are attempting another funding.  My son will go to have a Bone Marrow Transplant done with stem cells 07/17/17.  This is a long process and requires 90-100 days from initiation of the process to finish.  As any parent would, I would like to be there for the full time with my son as this is a life saving treatment but also life threatening in the same.  In order to do this, my family is asking for those who can to support us once again.  Any amount helps and is appreciated.
