Urianna's Arthrogryposis Fundraiser

Donation protected

My name is Patsy Trujillo and we are trying to raise money for our 11 year old niece who was born with Arthrogryposis, a condition characterized by multiple joint contractures (stiffness) most commonly affecting hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, feet and knees. She has been accepted by Shriners Childrens Hospital in Philadelphia for surgery/treatment which will hopefully give her lower body mobility (expectation is that she will be able to walk) and use of her hands/arms (she has bilateral, severe thumb-in palm-deformities and severe club feet).
Due to tragic family circumstances surrounding her parents, she has been under the loving care of her maternal grandmother, Ms. Linda Archuleta for 9 years.  They live in Monte Vista, Colorado where Uri attends Bill Metz Elementary School as a 5th grader.
Her treatment requires they travel to Philadelphia and they remain there during treatments.  Until today (4/19/16), it was anticipated that the stay would be approximately 6 weeks, that has changed to 10 to 12 weeks.   Her Attending Physician has to indicated in writing, that "...due to her medical condition, Urianna may need to be seen regulary and there is the possibiity that she may need further surgeries...".  Her first appointment is scheduled for June 1st (casting of limbs) and her surgery is scheduled for June 30, 2016; their return is based on her recovery.
Although Shriners does not charge for their medical services, the costs incurred while there, will be quite high!  The figures $12,000 - $15, 375 are based on a  60-75 day stay and includes airfare for 2; extended housing costs (approximately $115/night - because Uri does not have 3 scheduled appointsments/week, they do not qualify for Ronald McDonald Housing); ground transportation ($30-45/day);  and food ($30-45/day).
Even though, money has been saved, they are far from the amount needed.  Her grandmother will have to take an extended unpaid leave of absence from work.

Any amount that you can donate to help us ease the financial stress and make this 'hope' and 'Uri's dream' come true,  will be immensely appreciated!
When available, I will post updates and photos on my Facebook page.

Thanking you in advance for your generosity and asking that you keep Uri in your thoughts and prayers..I (we) remain forever grateful.
