TAKE A WALK IN MY SHOES

Imagine for a moment. You are living life. You have a wife, a family, you are working hard to provide for them. Then, out of the blue, something happened that you never saw coming.

~ Here's my story~

Everyone was depending on me, now I have to depend on others. Because now I am blind. Three years ago my body began to attack my eyes because of an injury I suffered in fifth grade. (A kid was horseplaying and accidentally stabbed a pencil in my eye). Six months ago, I lost my vision and was declared legally blind. I will begin to receive social security disability in January 2018. My wife and I lost health insurance in November this year.

Now I will explain why I've chosen to share my story. It's not about me, but my sweet wife. Beginning in January this year, at 39 years old she began to be sick. Over the course of this year she has lost nearly forty pounds, suffers with chronic nausea, has lost her desire to eat, and struggles to get out of bed each day with so little energy. So far, the doctors have not figured out what is causing all these symptoms. My wife cleans houses for a living. Through her efforts, we live day to day. Over the past six months our landlords have allowed us to live in our home without paying our rent. Also, for the first three months after losing my vision, a community church paid our bills for us . All these wonderful things were done for my family although we only shared what was happening with just a few people.

My request for help is for these reasons. I am attempting to make ends meet from now through January, when my disability begins. My wife is in need of more procedures and tests to determine the reason for her sickness. I am trying to purchase health insurance for myself and her. $480 -health insurance for two months.
$500 Dr visits in the meantime and medicines. $1000 - supplemental income which will allow my wife to rest as daily she is growing weaker by the day. $500 -equipment to begin tutoring from home over the internet to help provide income, (I haven't figured out all the details of how I will accomplish this, but I'm going to try).
Anything we might receive over my requested help amount, will go to my landlord to begin to catch up our rent, as they have been so kind to help us.

Thank you in advance for any amount you may be able to help me with. May the Lord bless you in just the way he knows you need it. And Merry Christmas to you.
