Ramon Altamirano's Road to Recovery

Ramon Altamirano is married to my beautiful friend Dana Altman.  I grew up in Algona, Iowa with Dana and we still have a very tight group of friends that wish we lived closer to help support Ramon's recovery.  Dana and Ramon live in Arizona and have enjoyed an active life together hiking, biking and going on many adventures.  Ramon was in a serious biking accident on April 17th and has a moderate brain injury.  He has a right basal ganglia bleed that will need to heal and absorb into the body, which will allow the swelling in his brain to decrease.  He is breathing on his own and moving his extremities and they continue to work on getting him to follow commands and open his eyes.  He has been in the ICU since April 17th and is expected to go to a skilled nursing unit within the next few weeks, but his road to recovery will be long and is unknown at this time.  His wife, Dana, is an amazing nurse so she will be able to take good care of him, but she has decreased hours at work so she can be by Ramon's side helping him heal.   Right now we would like to be able to help Dana with the finances so that we can take one burden off her shoulders.  Any small amount will help her with day to day expenses and medical expenses, and if you are unable to help at this time she would be grateful for all your prayers and positive vibes.
