Medical Assistance for David & Meredith Dickenson

Often there are times when our brothers/sisters need us just to stand by their side. And sometime they need more but would never ask for assistance. We are at this point with one of our own in our department and we are standing with him and his family and trying to help ease the burden.
Training Chief David Dickenson with Columbia County Fire Rescue, has been employed with our department for thirty years protecting the citizens of Columbia County. His wife Meredith has supported him throughout all these years. They have two boys, Charlie and Landry, that complete their family and have stood by both of them.
On the morning of 12/20/20, Chief Dickenson had to have Meredith rushed to Augusta University unresponsive only to learn her diagnosis being COVID-19 and pneumonia. (Meredith had also just gotten home from an extended hospital stay in Atlanta four days prior). Things went downhill from that point. She was admitted into the hospital in the ICU unit in critical condition and is still there today.
Medical bills are accumulating and with the bills coming in, stress is added to the mixture. Now that the end of the year is here, before Insurance starts paying for the New Year, deductibles have to be met again. Our brotherhood would like to help alleviate the stress and help the family stay focused on Meredith and her health. We are trying to raise money to help alleviate their medical expenses. If you are able and can help out, it will be greatly appreciated by David and the family, and will also be appreciated by all of our members of the fire department. We know, if the tables were turned, David and Meredith would be some of the first ones digging in their pockets to help out. If you can’t donate, please pray for Meredith for improvement, and for God’s assistance to the medical team and for there to be no pain and no suffering.
