Our beautiful and talented 14-year-old niece, Princess Warrior Alejandra, was diagnosed with leukemia in May 2017. Her faith, positivity, and bravery have kept her going strong since then, facing each day and medical procedure with such courage that is simply beyond words. Ale has a remarkably faithful and strong team beside her, led by her amazing parents, Gigi and Milton. Since Ale's diagnosis, her parents have not left her side, staying with her at each hospital stay, day and night. Their commitment to their daughter has kept Gigi and Milton away from their jobs, which has been especially difficult on the family as they are small business owners. As Ale's aunts, we have set up this GoFundMe account in efforts to lessen Gigi's and Milton's stress even a little bit by raising money to pay for Ale's ever-increasing medical expenses. She is a true guerrera (living up to her last name, Guerrero), a Princess Warrior, and a miracle of life, who is not letting anything stand in her way. Her faith (instilled in her by her parents since birth) is her rock and she is all of ours. Seeing her go through this with such grace and with a positive attitude that is matched by her parents and brave brother, Junior, has made each of us more resilient, and for that we are thankful.
