Yarrow & Penny Support

Before we begin, let me tell you the story of how Penny met Yarrow. Penny messaged a breeder to ask her for a puppy to boost her old girl Turtles spirits. Penny wanted a buddy to learn from Turtle as she knew her old girl would not be in this world much longer, but before she could bring her pup home... Penny lost her beloved Turtle and on her birthday. Fast forward a couple months later and she meets her boy Yarrow. He brought so much love and light into her life. His puppy shenanigans reminded her of all the love she had to give once again. They spent every minute together - even shared a pillow at bed time - Yarrow quickly stole her heart and she was feeling whole again. May 19th, 2020 started out a normal day like every one before it, she took her now 12 week old puppy for a walk on his leash - loose leash because he was always so good - unknown to her at the time.. this was not like every other walk before...this one was different. Yarrow saw what he believed to be a friend across the road and he ran off to say hello to his new found friend with all the excitement a boston puppy brings! Before Penny realized what happened, the leash was already out of her hands and her whole world was running across the road. She read the horror on the face of the other owner who was walking her dog on leash and before anyone had time to react, her big dog glommed onto Yarrow and shook him. Both Penny and the other owner could not pry that big dog's mouth open to release Yarrow and when he finally did, Penny dropped down into the grass next to her lifeless injured pup and cried, screaming for help as she thought surely she had lost him. In that moment Yarrow weakly opened his eye and her friend picked Yarrow up. Not knowing were the big dog was, told her friend to run. They went back to Penny's home and got his hot water bottle filled and a blanket for him, as they did not want him going into shock on the way to the vets. With her living in a small town, her vet clinic was not fitted to deal with such an extreme case and gave him a seductive to help him sleep while she and two of her friends traveled an hour and a half to an emergency clinic in Calgary. She waited outside the vet clinic with tears pouring down her face, unable to get past the guilt she felt for letting go of that leash as they took her baby inside to do tests and find out how extensive the injuries were. Here we are the next day and there is still no news... we know he made it through the night, but nothing else. Penny does not deserve this, nor do I want her worrying about the costs. Please help us by donating and at least giving Penny the peace of mind about the vet bill while we wait to hear what the outcome is. I will be continuing to update everyone as I know what is going on. Thank you all for your support in this trying time.
