Yarely's Medical Emergency

My name's Angie Mendoza and I'm asking for $3,000 to help my younger sister,  Yarely, cover her medical expenses after an emergency surgery on her bowels and stomach while over 7,000 miles from home. What was intended to be a fun spring break trip in China with her boyfriend quickly turned into a nightmare when as soon as stepping off the plane she faced extreme abdominal pain, vomiting, and constipation. She spent two days in the hospital connected to IV's and with a tube running through her nose to her stomach, sucking the fluids out to prevent her from throwing up anymore. They didn't anesthetize her to put in this tube nor the necessary catheter, and she spent 6 days waiting to get better. On Easter Sunday, she sent this picture home grinning from ear to ear because she was feeling better, got the tube taken out, and was finally allowed to come home. 

You can imagine my and my mom's surprise when just a few hours later she let us know they had transported her from the airplane back to the hospital for another wave of intense abdominal pain. This time she was quickly put into emergency surgery to repair a rupture in her bowel that leaked an infection into her stomach. Her surgery appears to have gone well, and she is currently still in Hong Kong, although with a fever that we have been told is normal. We are hopeful for a quick and complication-free recovery, but we ask for your help covering the deductible that her student health insurance will make her responsible for. She is a smart and hard-working college student and after all of this suffering, her focus should be on healing and feeling better without the unnecessary stress of paying for this unfortunate emergency.
