Yang Family Fire Relief Fund

After losing both of our grandparents within months of each other, my family had to evacuate our house on Bradley Avenue. On Thursday, February 18th, around 12:30 pm our garage went up in flames and spread throughout the garage, ascending into our kitchen and dining room. When my mom noticed the fire in the garage, she rushed my two sisters and two brothers, and I to quickly evacuate our house. We were able to evacuate our house safely, while our garage struck up in huge flames creating clouds of dark smoke. After the firefighters had stopped the fire, everything in our garage was burned along with the damage the fire had done to our kitchen and dining room. We lost all of our valuable items in the garage, such as our five freezers that contained all our frozen produce, our shoes, a car, tools, and plenty more valuable items. Since our kitchen was affected by the smoke, all of our kitchen utensils were covered in black smoke, which we won’t be able to use any longer. As the smoke traveled up our rooftop to every bedroom, all of our belongings were smoldered with the smell of smoke.

At this time we are in a stressful situation, and we need all the help we can get. Due to the fire, our freezers with our frozen produce that provides food for our family of nine was burned. In the process of moving, we’re asking for some funds to help with the purchase of food. Anything as little as a couple of dollars would help our family in many ways. We want to thank everyone who has supported and donated, everything you guys are doing for us is greatly appreciated by our family.
