Yamilet Mejia spine surgery

Almost three years ago, my mom had a tumor next to her spine (L11) which was treated with radiation and surgery. Surgery went almost well but she was contaminated with meningitis. From that moment she cannot sit for long periods, stand up or walk. So  she had to leave work. Two months ago a new doctor discovered that the radiation she received for her cancer had deteriorated her vertebra and broken it inseveral pieces which explains why she had lived in bed and in severe pain for so many years. She need surgery, they´re going to place a VBR (Vertebral Body Replacement) and if necesarry start with chemo and physiotherapy.  I am her only child and we need help because her treatment is so expensive. She has a family that loves her and needs her. Doctors say her surgery and treatment is urgent because the medulla is almost compressed and will leave her paraplegic. Please help her recover her life again and her mobility. Thanks so much. 

Hace casi tres años, mi mamá tuvo un tumor junto a su columna vertebral (L11) que fue tratado con radiación y cirugía. La cirugía fue casi un éxito, pero se contaminó con meningitis.  A partir de ese momento no puede sentarse durante largos períodos, levantarse o caminar. Así que ya no puede trabajar. Hace dos meses un nuevo médico descubrió que la radiación que recibió por su cáncer había deteriorado su vértebra y la había roto en varias piezas, lo que explica por qué había vivido en la cama y con dolor intenso durante tantos años. Necesita cirugía, va a colocar un VBR (Reemplazo del Cuerpo Vertebral) y si es necesario comenzar con quimioterapia y fisioterapia. Soy su única hija y necesitamos ayuda porque su tratamiento es muy caro. Ella tiene una familia que la ama y la necesita. Los médicos dicen que su cirugía y tratamiento es urgente porque la médula está casi comprimida y la dejará parapléjica. Por favor ayúdala a recuperar su vida otra vez y su movilidad. Muchas gracias.
