Peace yall! My name is Yahdi Caprice! I am a compost farmer, chicken parent, future bus lifer, and life long learner. Thank you for coming through, I truly appreciate it. This is a fund to show love to a Black, Queer, Trans Farmer getting creative to turn dreams into reality. Here's what your investment is going to:

My dream is to grow a farm that offers space to find peace and intentional healing in relationship with the Land. Through 2021 I spent over 1000 hours completing the Stateline Farm Beginnings program. Building my home! I'm building a home inside of the bus above with the help of friends, family, youtube, and you! Housing is the single largest expense for so many people. I definitely fall into that category. The pull to bring my dreams to life has sparked thinking outside of the standard options. Your support will fund tools and materials to turn this crusty, lovable lil bus into my comfortable, functional home. Thank you for reading this far!
Free Movement Farm's Compost Service! Composting can be a simple way for people to build a relationship with the Land. An important value for me and the farm is working to meet people where they are. Land connection can look many different ways. For some, it will look like filling a bucket that sits in their kitchen. Funding to provide this option to people will go toward new buckets and screw top lids for in-home food scrap collecting, paying the Black trans human that created the logo, stickers for the buckets, 2 wheelbarrows, 4 shovels, and 2 pitchforks. This human powered residential composting is coming to life!
Body Affirming Surgery! It's taken a lot of reflection to get to this point and I'm excited to be finding a body that feels like home. I’ll be navigating the process of top surgery. Any support and movement toward paying past medical debt and feeling at home in my body brings me so much hope!
Pickup truck! A vehicle that fits my new life would allow the composting service to grow at an exponential rate. With a pickup truck, I can collect more food scrap buckets, haul finished compost to growers and farmers, take long term camping trips, and have a super cool day to day vehicle! My 2003 Toyota Camry has been a trooper, but it's time to get a vehicles aligned with the way my life is evolving. I am so hype for all of the hauling in my future?!
With this fundraiser I am betting on myself. My dream is loud, my vision is clear, and my determination is unwavering. Your donation is an investment into me and offering more people options to help us heal. Accessibly is meeting people where they are and for some the a relationship with the Land will be as simple as a bucket in their kitchen. Healing won’t come from one person, action, law, or corporation. It’s a group effort and this can be your way of betting on a different solution. It may seem small, but in the moment most change often does.
