Yachats Displaced Worker Emergency Relief

Displaced Worker Emergency Relief Fund

Yachats Community Presbyterian Church has created a fund to assist displaced workers living and working in Yachats. The fund will be used to assist workers in the service industry (cooks, waitstaff, dishwashers, cashiers etc… who have lost their employment due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

YCPC has pledged $5,000 to this effort, and is encouraging local churches, businesses and philanthropically minded persons to do the same. We have had a generous response to our appeal to the Food Pantry, and currently have enough funds there to meet anticipated needs.
Any help with this Displaced Worker Emergency Relief Fund would be greatly appreciated.
I will provide information shortly about how community members can donate to that fund.
Our $5,000 may not be much, but together we can make a big difference.
Please give generously. Not that you already haven’t. Yachats Rocks.

I have also received an offer from a local community member to provide outdoor work for a displaced worker or two at 15 dollars. If interested, please contact me by Facebook messenger or at the church.

In order to receive assistance, you will need to provide a letter from your employer stating that you have lost employment due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Funds up to $100.00 will be distributed on a first come first served basis as long as money is available.

We will distribute funds M-W-F from 11:00am to 1:00pm, on the West side of the church.
