<div><strong>Global Child Prodigy, Sir Darius Brown is a 12  year old animal lover with a heart of gold, a young entrepreneur, honor roll student, "GoFund Me Kid Hero" and founder of Beaux &amp; Paws. He specializes in creating stylish bowties for dogs and cats.</strong>

<div>At the age of 2, Sir Darius was diagnosed with a speech, comprehension, and fine motor skills delay. However, he never let his challenges stop him from accomplishing any of his goals. When Sir Darius was 8 years old he used to sit next to his sister Dazhai, and watched her sew. He always wanted to help but I was afraid he would hurt his hands. So I came up with an idea of him being her assistant. I allowed him to cut the fabrics which made him very happy and it also help improve his fine motor skills greatly. After several months went by his sister started to teach him how to use the sewing machine and before you knew it he was making these amazing bow ties. Sir Darius started to make bow ties to wear for his self then other people became interested in his stylish bow ties as well, and a young entrepreneur was born.

<div>Two years later, in 2017, Sir Darius became very emotional watching all the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. As he watched he saw people being rescued but his question was “who is saving the animals?” Sir Darius found out on social media that some rescue dogs were being transferred from the devastation in Texas and Puerto Rico to the ASPCA in NYC. He immediately wanted to help them. He thought of a very unique way to use his skills to help the displaced dogs.

<div><strong>He created very colorful bow ties to donate to the ASPCA for the displaced dogs to wear to bring more attention to them so they could be more noticeable and get adopted into new homes faster.</strong> During this time Sir Darius learned that every year thousands of dogs are euthanized at some shelters if they are not adopted in time due to overcrowding. When he learned of this horrific act he was beyond devastated. <strong>He decided to make it his mission to focus on saving lives and to help as many dogs as he can find new homes by donating his bow ties to animal shelters across the nation. </strong>Sir Darius is now committed to bettering the lives of animals and encouraging others to find ways to help, he was even recognized by President Obama for his work (you can see the letter he received below).

<div>Sir Darius's PAW-some mission started by him visiting 5 animal shelters in the summer of 2019. With help from so many amazing supporters he was able to surpass his goal. Since then, many shelters and rescue groups have been requesting bow tie donations and a visit from him. He has donated bow ties to animal shelters and adoption centers across the USA and in the United Kingdom. <strong>Sir Darius’s new goal is to visit shelters in all 50 states to deliver his hand made bow ties personally, volunteer, attend adoption events, and highlight adoptable dogs and cats on his social media to help them find homes faster. As of January 2022 Sir Darius is not only creating bow ties but he has a goal of packing and donating fun "Wag Bags" for shelter pets that will include pet food, pet treats, toys, collars, leashes, other essential items needed and of course bow ties. So far Sir  Darius has designed and donated over 2000 bow ties, 100 Wag Bags, helped sponsor a Puppy Wish with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and have visited 25 shelters in 15 states. </strong>

<div><strong>Sir Darius Brown continues to grow, evolve, and inspire. Now 18 years old, he is proud to share that he has been named a Gates Scholar, one of only 750 students selected from a pool of over 45,000 applicants nationwide. He was accepted to over 30 colleges and awarded more than $1 million in scholarships. This fall, he will attend Morehouse College, where he will major in Communications and Film &amp; Media Studies—a path he has chosen to amplify his lifelong mission of advocating for shelter pets through storytelling, creativity, and media.</strong>

<div><strong>While he continues to design and donate his signature handmade bow ties to animal shelters across the country, Sir Darius is expanding his mission in a meaningful way. He is combining his love for animals with fashion, digital media, and powerful storytelling to help shine a spotlight on adoptable pets. By blending style and purpose, he’s working to make rescue animals more visible, more valued, and more likely to find loving forever homes.</strong>
