We Need Your Help!

This year has been particularly rough for our rescue group. We have received many animals that have been horribly treated by humans requiring signifcant medical costs. The heartache, the pain and suffering is just too much sometimes. Especially when it is caused by humans.  We need your help! 

Cooper is only about a year old. He will be having his eye removed due to neglect from his previous owners. As you can see in the picture he is a matted mess. His owners just up and moved and left him there, in this heat with no food or water. He was so matted you couldn't see his injuries all over his body. We couldn't even see his eye let alone see that it was in such bad condition. After he was bathed and shaved we still couldn't see that well because of the rest of the wounds and swelling.  Finally it was the smell that led us to find his eye in such bad shape. Cooper is only a year old and is already losing his eye because of what someone did to him. So sad. 

We had a poor cat come to us with its leg broken. Someone had hit her with their car and didn't care to stop. She survived and had to have her leg amputated. Very friendly cat but no owners came forward to claim her. 

And to top it all off we have a litter of kittens that were thrown out of a window. Yes, someone threw a litter of kittens out of their moving vehicle. One of the little kittens has to have his tail amputated. The other kittens seem ok but we are still waiting to make sure. They are all on meds for upper respiratory infections and coccidia. We had a couple close calls with these little guys but we are not giving up on them like their previous owners did. 

This is just a sample of the cases we have seen this year. Those of you that follow our posts have seen all the puppies we took in, all the kittens we have been begging for fosters for, and all the other dogs and cats that were just dumped and forgotten. We cannot do this alone. Adoption fees cover our spay/neuter costs. All of our fundraising goes to vet bills. ALL of our money goes to the animals. This GoFundMe is a fundraising effort to help with vet bills. At this point we cannot take in any more special need animals. We do not want to stop helping. Cooper is getting his eye removed one way or another.

But what about the next dog or cat that needs our help....?
