Hi All,
My roommate was on her way home during the snowy nor eastern and saw this poor baby YELPING on the side of the road in the slush wet and cold. She pulled over immediately and luckily a car with 3 other girls pulled over and a plow truck. Two men had to lift this huge sweet (9 month old) baby into her SUV where she drove home (she didn't have a working phone on her) and we called the owner, he came and tried to take the dog home but we said he NEEDS to go to the vet. So the owner and the 3 other girls follow us to the emergency vet. They took the owner back and said the dog has air in his lungs, probably a broken hip, and who knows what else. The owner said he might have to have them put the dog down if it's too much but this dog is SO sweet, in his pain never snapped or anything, just laid his head in my hands all the way to the vet. I've no idea how much money this will cost, it could be up to $5 grand. We talked to the owner and he sent us pictures of the dog (as shown) and he said the dog's his buddy but he doesn't know if he can afford the bills. I want to help out as I just can't imagine this young poor baby being put down not even a year old. He was the SWEETEST, most gentle dog ever. Even though he was soaking wet, cold, and in pain in the middle of a nor eastern, he never was aggressive towards us or anything. Nuzzled his head in my hand the whole way to the vet. He knew we wanted to help and I want to help him however I can.
