Henry had major neck surgery to repair 4 compressed disc that were fused together. This was causing his upper extremities to be weak and cause constant numbness to his shoulders and arms. He underwent a 4 hour surgery that required going through the front of his neck to insert screws and plates to create a sense of cartilage in his vertebrae. With time and healing, the Dr.’s are hoping he will regain his strength and feeling in his upper body.
He has a long road of recovery that will keep him away from his job that he loves. He has been a member of the St. Mary’s University family for over 25 years. He maintains all the sports fields.
Henry’s healing and rehabilitation will take the better part of 6 months.
We will be doing a BBQ plate sale Saturday 7/21/18 on the campus of St. Mary’s University at Pecan Grove between the hours of 12pm-5pm. For those that can’t make it we ask if you can open up your hearts to a donation. No size is too small. If you are not able to donate, we please ask for your prayers and support for Henry during this rough time.
