09/17/2018 UPDATE
Our family is deeply saddened and heartbroken to inform you that our Mother Maria Kovalenko passed away at 11:30 last night. Surrounded by her loved ones our mother went home to be with our heavenly father. As many of you know, she has been suffering from 2 strokes and brain hemorrhaging for some time now. We are relieved that her passing was peaceful and painless.

The viewing service will be held this Wednesday (September 19th) at 7 p.m. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at the Prayhouse Slavic Pentecostal Church. in Anderson at 11 a.m. Address (201 Riley st, Anderson SC 29624).

We would appreciate any and all prayers right now while we put our dear mother to rest, as well as any monetary support as we were unprepared for her sudden death. Everything will be going towards her funeral costs. Thank you once again, May the Lord bless you.

I am at a loss of words. But the time has come to ask for help, our Dear mother Maria  Kovalenko who is usually so full of life, who is a constant help in any need we or others may have; has been going thru a very difficult time with her health.  On August 30th our mother had a severe stroke which left half of her body paralyzed, fortunately the doctors were able to help her in a slight recovery. But on September 8th she had a secondary stroke. We have been hoping for a miracle, we have been praying for the Lord to let us have some more time with our beloved Mom, Grandmother and great Grandmother.

Yesterday early morning we had a CT scan done on her brain and it is showing severe hemorrhaging. The Doctors told us their prognosis later on and said that they have done all they could and that she will never recover. She is still alive and may respond to some stimulation but cannot open her eyes, eat, drink or speak. We have constantly been by her side praying and hoping. We ask for prayers for hope for support! Only the Lord knows what’s in store, her life and well being is in his hands.

As this turn in our mother’s health was unexpected, we were not prepared for spending so much time away from work and our daily lives. Also the medical expenses that have come up and even perhaps her funeral expenses in the near future as she does not have a positive prognosis.

A few hours ago per our request, the nurses took her off the machines that monitored her and now all that is left is an IV line for fluids. May our Heavenly Father envelope her in his warmth, may he bring peace to her so she will not suffer anymore, so that she could go home and be with the Lord and her beloved husband Eugene Kovalenko who we have also lost 5 years ago to cancer.

Please, if it is in your hearts your emotional support, prayers and financial support would mean the world to us. May the Lord Bless you in 10x fold. Thank you

with heavy hearts,

Oleg, Yury, Alla and Alyona Kovalenko.
