Help a member of our school community

A member of our Shortridge family recently lost their spouse unexpectedly. Their spouse was the main income earner and now they are left caring for their six children. Our staff came together to pool our resources and buy the family a new washer and dryer from Facebook marketplace. After the seller dropped off the set, it was discovered it did not work. The seller then ghosted and blocked us. We were trying to do something to help this family and ended up adding to the weight of their burden. We are trying to purchase them a new washer and dryer from a legitimate retailer and restore our faith in humanity.
