Nina's Medical Fund

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in the power of your hand to do so."
(Prov. 3:27)

This family really needs help and your donation regardless of the amount will be greatly appreciated.

This is a the Romanyuk family - Sergey, Nina, and 5 children. This was a happy, and healthy family with the exception of one daughter who is ill.

Nina was a great example at home, church and for others that knew her. She loves to sing and participated in many of church activities.

Nina was healthy until one day she started feeling discomfort in her left chest area side.  After examination, they discovered there were some lumps. This escalated pretty quickly and Nina's pain was getting worse. She fought for her health as much as she could but the pain worsened and it felt like it was moving to the back shoulders area.

The last 2 weeks Nina (who has never missed church) for the first time could not go to church due to pain a major discomfort in her back. She was in bed most of the time and couldn't even get up to walk a short distance or sit up without help.

On Friday evening, October 20th when she asked her husband and daughter to assist her in getting up, Nina suddenly felt extreme, uncontrollable, electric-like pain all across her back and legs. Because of extreme pain, she screamed to be put down. As soon as she was put back on the bed she couldn't feel her legs. She got paralyzed.

Because the pain was unbearable and she couldn't feel or move her legs, the family called an ambulance and Nina was rushed to the emergency room.

The next day, after completing checkups, x-rays, etc she had a 3-hour long surgery.

Turns out she had a large tumor on her spinal cord.

Doctors tried to remove as much of the tumor as possible but unfortunately, they couldn't get all of it out. Just enough to free up the pitched nerve area.

Because the tumor has eaten some of her spines already, today (Tuesday, Oct. 24th) Nina is having a second major surgery where doctors will put in a rod in her back to try and keep her spines together from falling apart completely due to the tumor.

There are no guarantees from doctors on whether Nina will get back on her feet, but we're praying and hoping that God would do his miracle.

THE BIG CHALLENGE

The main breadwinner in the family was (and is) her husband. However, with Nina's sudden illness Sergey is not able to work as he's with her 24/7.

On top of that, they did not have any health insurance when all this happened to cover Nina's big medical expenses.

This family is at risk of losing everything they have, so that is why we (friends) are creating this fund for them.

Please donate to support this family in their great need.

Every dollar counts.

Hospital bills will be extremely high and this money will go to cover as much of that as possible as well as provide the family some funds for basic needs and put food on the table.

Your donation will be a great blessing for the Romanyuk family.

Thank you and God bless.
