Anderson Family Fund

Logan Elizabeth Anderson is a vibrant, loving 8 year old girl who has endured multiple obstacles in her young life.  Logan was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a severe congential heart defect requiring several heart surgeries, the first one within days of her birth.  After one of these heart surgeries, Logan suffered a stroke, but this never slowed Logan down or her passion for just being a kid.

Unfortunately, the past few months have had many ups and downs.  Logan fractured her tibia in September that resulted in her leg being immobilized.  Since the fracture, Logan has not seemed herself.  With two loving parents and a devoted extended family and friends to care for her, they knew something wasn't right.  After multiple doctor visit and therapists, they decided to get an abdonimal ultrasound as a baseline because heart children can have fluid shifts that can be troublesome to them.  But, much to their shock, it showed a 10 cm mass in her abdomen.  Logan was urgently admitted  to Nationwide Children's Hospital.  The following day, a CT was performed and the mass was found to be compressing her IVC and other structures, as well as resulting in some blood clots in her jugular and innominate veins.  Logan was then transferred to ICU and a biopsy was done on October 27th.  We now wait for the results to grade the tumor and establish a plan of care.

To all the family, friends, co-workers, and aquaintances of the Anderson family,  we are reaching out to all of you during this difficult time in their life.

This precious family now sits day and night with Logan in the ICU, awaiting the biopsy results.  There are no words to express the love and concern we all have for Logan, and the entire Anderson family. 

To help ease the financial stress they may endure in the upcoming months, Christy Dennis and I wanted to organize this page.   So many of us have wanted to help this family, but feel helpless and at a loss for words.  Thank you for allowing us to share Logan's story with you and we hope for continued prayers and wishes for this sweet, precious, little girl and her family.
