For those of us who know and love Dan, we know a few things. We know he is a hard worker with an incredible work ethic. We know he owns his own business and is great at what he does. We also know he loves muscle cars, hates blue cheese, is no fun when he’s “hangry” and is a huge smart ass. (I mentioned huge, right…) We also know he loves his family fiercely and is a great friend to those of us lucky enough to get to hang out with him.
What you may or may not know about Dan at the moment, is that he is dealing with oral cancer. Dan was diagnosed on February 9th and will be undergoing surgery this Tuesday, February 27th. The surgery will be long and his recovery time and needs are uncertain, as with any major surgery. Because Dan is self-employed there will be many out-of-pocket expenses, not only for he and his family’s stay in Seattle (at least a week), but also for the surgery itself, his after care and the time that he will spend recovering and unable to work.
