Hurricane Harvey relief

It is only a few days since my home in Spring, Texas flooded due to Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath.  There was 33.5 inches of water in my house.  All of the contents were lost, including a car in the garage (the car is insured; whew!).  I have homeowner's insurance.  However, homeowner's insurance does not cover flood damage.  I didn't have flood insurance.  Our neighborhood was not supposed to flood (500 year flood plain).  I applied for FEMA disaster assistance several days ago.  Therefore, I am at the mercy of FEMA for financial assistance.  This "Go Fund Me" account was created to mitigate whatever FEMA doesn't reimburse.  Any funds collected in this account in excess of my needs after FEMA reimbursement will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Included in the contents of my home was the equipment of the band, Bow Legged Monkey.  The band now has no equipment with which to perform.  So, a donation to this charity will also help that band be able to perform again.

Here are the estimates of money needed:

Bow Legged Monkey equipment: $8,062

Rehab of the home: $38,000

Furniture, clothes, appliances, etc.: $15,000

TOTAL:  $61,062.00
