For the Love of Mike - and the Rigby Family
Mike is a dedicated husband, and father of 3 - Mike was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer, Rectal Cancer specifically, and has been fighting a hard battle. Mike has endured grueling treatments of Radiation, Chemotherapy, bowel resection and rectum removal, and now he faces a new battle and an upcoming complicated surgery to make a "sling" to keep his intestines from falling into the cavity left behind where his other organs were removed. This surgery cannot be done locally - they must travel out of state.
Mike meets every challenge and daily struggle with a smile on his face and love in his heart.
Mike and Audrey are proud hard-working people. Before Mike's devastating diagnosis, Audrey was a teacher - now she is his full-time caregiver. They have sold their livestock, farm equipment, and everything they can to pay for medical expenses, travel expenses, loss of income, and all that goes along with such a diagnosis. They have given so much to so many all their lives, but now they find themselves needing support and love from all of us!
This has been physically, emotionally and financially devastating to Mike, his wife and their 3 children.
Currently they are in need of funds to help them travel to another state for much needed surgery to relive Mike of constant pain and cramping and to address another serious issue. Likely they will be out of state for 8 weeks or more during the surgery and recovery time.
