On behalf of Sean's parents....
Our son, Sean, was seriously injured in a car accident on Monday, Dec. 15 and lost both of his legs. In an instant, his life — and ours — changed forever.
Sean is now beginning a long and challenging journey of recovery that includes multiple surgeries, rehabilitation, prosthetics, and extensive ongoing care.
In the moments after the accident, Sean showed extraordinary strength, courage, heart and determination, despite unimaginable injuries. He fought to stay alive until help arrived. His will to live is the reason we still have him with us today.
I want to thank the RI state police and specifically Trooper Jason Arborella who was first on scene and the actions he took to save Sean's life. We are forever thankful for you. Also, all of the first responders and amazing team at RI hospital for their outstanding service and kindness during this difficult time.
We never imagined we'd be asking for help. We are raising funds to help cover medical expenses and support his recovery.
Sean is doing ok and is currently at RI hospital. Any notes of encouragement or cards would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your prayers, support and shares.
