Support Community Radio in Montgomery County

KPGC 95.1 is a nonprofit, noncommercial FM station broadcasting from Norman, Arkansas in the Ouachita National Forest. Over the past six years, KPGC has proudly served the local community through Christian programming, music, and news. It is also our pleasure to provide free public service announcements for churches, nonprofits, health organizations, and city governments. Listeners have been alerted about public health issues from the City of Norman and the potential for severe weather and tornadoes from the National Weather Service. KPGC is currently the only station broadcasting in Montgomery County!

Recently the FCC granted KPGC (His Will, Inc., our 501c3 non-profit) a construction permit to greatly increase our power, improve our signal, and to expand our coverage area. This will take our 100 watts to a full 1,000 watts, providing a strong signal to Mt. Ida and other nearby communities. Thanks to a generous donor, we’re half way to having the funds needed to update our equipment to go full power. Now, we need your help!

KPGC will continue to serve the area as a nonprofit, noncommercial, community station, in the same way it has been. The call letters will remain the same, but the frequency will move to a different location on the radio dial.

To help raise the rest of the needed funds, Versacare Foundation has pledged a matching grant of $3,750. Every donation up to that will be matched equally by them. We are praising God for the kind offer of Versacare Foundation!

The new station will benefit the community in several ways. Regular listeners and visitors to the area will learn more about local businesses and events which will be a boost to the economy. Emergency alerts like tornado and flash flood watches and warnings will reach more people with advance warning for protection. In case of an emergency, like a forest fire, in a specific area first responders could notify the station to provide evacuation plans or other important information to listeners.
