Love for Levi

On Saturday, Jan 2nd every parents worst fearcame true for a Family in my community. 10 year old Levi has Autism and occasionally he will run or wander. This is common with Autism and is known as elopement. Levi’s Mom has beenthrough everything you can think of to keep him safe and in the home. This past weekend it was freezing temps and he managed to get outof his bedroom window.  He only had underwear on and was missing for hours. Our entire community came together to search for Levi as he lives very close to water and could easily become disoriented between the cold and the darkness. Thankfully, Levi was found and brought to safety. As a community we would love to get a basic security system installed in his home. We would like to go with the Ring system with multiple cameras so his Mom can be alerted when he attempts to leave. 

His Momma is adamant that you do not donate if you are not in the position to. However, if you are in the position to spare a few dollars, this family and the community who love them would be so grateful. This will allow his Mom to maybe close her eyes for a few more minutes at night. It will allow her to go to work knowing she can check in on Levi and his caregiver at any time.  If Levi is able to get past the barriers they have placed then she will at least be able to see what direction he goes and alert authorities much faster. 

I know what this community can do. I’ve watched it happen and I have been on the giving end. 

we bumped the goal amount up a tad so we could add an additional camera to make sure all areas are covered.
